I was a new-to-it sailor, but I was hungry to dig in. From my first minutes on the water with Bob I knew he would get me where I wanted to go ...and even further than what I thought I had the capability to achieve, as it turns out.
Have you ever met someone who just has 'that gift' of being a teacher at their core? Bob Rice is exactly that guy, and he loves nothing more than to share his sailing experience with those looking to develop their own skills, all while progressing at a thoughtful, reasonable pace for each student sailor.

I just wanted to drop a line thanking you again for a wonderful sailing experience for my family. I truly appreciated your interest in and patience with our two young boys. They have not stopped talking about the experience and the many lessons they learned from you. My intention was to expose my boys to the wonderful world of sailing with the hope that they might be captivated by it - mission accomplished! We will be back on the water soon and will certainly return to Cape Sail on our next visit to the Cape. Should you decide to do so, please feel free to use the above note as a testimonial endorsing Cape Sail. Thanks again, Bob. Truly a wonderful experience.

I just wanted to thank you for the great lesson and the overall wonderful two hour adventure Chad and I experienced with you. You truly went above and beyond any expectations I had for the lesson and Chad really enjoyed his birthday gift! We already plan on sailing together in Minneapolis and surely the next time we're in the cape I will send you an email for your availability! :)
Thanks again,
Melissa D

In sailing you must find a real teacher, Bob lets you go pretty far so you can learn by mistakes. He taught me by letting me go as far as you could go. Sailing takes a lot of gentle concentration; you must focus on the course, but you must also be conscious of tides, the weather, lots of things.
